Moneta ("the App") is a personal finance management application for Android developed by Vladyslav. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and what third-party services are involved.
Moneta is designed as an offline-first application. Your financial data — transactions, income, budgets, crypto portfolio, car records, subscriptions — is stored exclusively on your device in the app's private internal storage. Moneta does not operate its own servers or databases.
The following data is stored locally in JSON format in the app's private storage and is never transmitted to Moneta or any third party by the app itself:

Moneta connects to the following external services on your behalf. These connections are made directly from your device — no Moneta proxy server is involved.
Used for the AI financial assistant. When you send a message, the app transmits your query and a summary of your financial data (expenses, income, balances) to OpenAI using your API key. OpenAI's Privacy Policy applies: openai.com/privacy
Alternative AI provider (Palmyra Finance 70B, Nemotron, etc.). Same data handling as OpenAI above. Used only if you choose NVIDIA as your AI provider. NVIDIA's Privacy Policy applies: nvidia.com privacy
When you scan a receipt, the image is sent to an AI service for text extraction. No financial history is included — only the receipt image. This feature uses the AI provider configured in your settings.
Used to fetch live cryptocurrency prices for your portfolio. The request contains only cryptocurrency ticker symbols — no personal data, balances, or account information. CoinGecko privacy: coingecko.com/privacy
Exchange account balances are fetched using your API key. These connections are read-only — the app cannot place orders or transfer funds. Your API key is sent directly to the exchange. Each exchange's own privacy policy applies.
Used to fetch current UAH exchange rates (only when the app language is set to Ukrainian). No personal data is sent — this is a public data endpoint.
Moneta requests camera permission only for the receipt scanning feature. The camera is activated only when you explicitly initiate a scan. The captured image is processed by the AI provider configured in your settings and is not stored permanently by the app after the scan is complete.
If you do not use receipt scanning, the camera is never accessed.

The app does not request access to contacts, location, microphone, files, SMS, or phone state.
Moneta contains no analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or crash reporting services.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.
All app data is stored on your device. You have full control:
· Delete individual transactions, records, or API keys from within the app at any time.
· Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently.
· No data exists on Moneta servers because Moneta operates no servers.
Data transmitted to third-party services (OpenAI, NVIDIA, exchanges) is subject to their respective data retention policies.
Moneta is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data to Moneta, please contact us and we will assist.
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be published at this URL with an updated effective date. Significant changes affecting data handling will be noted in the app's Google Play update description.
